maks update 9th December
maks spent most of the week with me while Donne and her friend Leeanne went on their wicked fun raod trip.
Lately I've been spending alot of time on Mak's manners teaching her to ask and not demand and to say 'Please' and 'thank you' when asking for anything. She always likes me nearby and wants to be picked up tuggin on my pants reaching her arms up high saying "Up, up, up...." So I've taught her to say "Up, please daddy" which is so cute. A short while back I posted what words I could remember that she could speak but it's now more to the case that she's stringing alot of workds together now in 2 or 3 word groupings ie. 'that way' & 'no bed'.
When I'm tired she loves taking care of her daddy as I lie on the floor and next thing I know she's got a blanket and trying to cover me, patting me on the head saying 'nin nite daddy' followed by a kiss. After that she likes to climb on top and play peekaboo where she covers my head with the blanket then sits upright calling "Daddy... Daddy...wer' daddy" then she'll whip it away and go "BOOOO!!!!"
She seems to love that game and I like it as I just get to lie there and scream boo LOL. She likes to pretend that she doesn't know where I am before whipping the blanket away and gets excited with the biggest smile bearing her little baby teeth.
UPDATED NEWS: I was advised that Maks will be moving up to toddlers in February next year. My godson Jaren will be starting at the same kindy as Maks and will be in her class until she moves up, so about a month. A few weeks back we were asked by the staff if we would start bringing in cups of milk for her rather than the usual teet'd bottles we bring down as they are starting to get the older tot's into drinking from cups which maks can do on her own now. So she's growing up and developing at a very good rate learning and socialising.
She's back with her mom now who had an extreamly good time in rotovegas and taupo where they did the zorb and the taupo sky dive which looked like fun so will have to put that on my list of things to do.
