Auckland City

I've said this many times in past before that the Auckland City Skyline needs alot of work. Auckland which is New Zealands biggest city is I have to state is one of the worst eye non-appealing cities not only in New Zealand but internationally.
Earlier this year I browsed several back packers websites whom commented that Auckland was a dark and depressing city and that was during our summer period.

There is no way currently that Auckland can survive and is falling backwards in development and there is absolutely no short term resolve, in fact there is also no long term resolve either and it stems from one main fact. Its management in a nut shell consists of seven(7) Mayors, Eight(8) councils and well over 6,000 bureaucrats which makes any decision on control on Aucklands development neigh impossible.

Still we have horrid apartments being erected that make your eyes bleed at just the sheer sight of them. The historical society trying to save evey building older than 50 years of age is just rediculous. Ok so that is a slight exaggeration but New Zealand is one of the youngest countries in the world so lets be honest, there's not a great deal of history to account for when it comes to buildings. If they are of major historical importance then I'm all for them to be renovated such as the DFS Galleria and the Britomart as examples but lets get real.

I'm Auckland born and bred and would love to see Auckland come together in my lifetime. So lets create a unified Auckland under one management as one city.
