2006 Augusta Masters

Congratulations to Phil Mikelson who takes home his second green jacket victory at the 2006 Austa Masters after his first win in 2004. Tiger Woods was last years champion which was his 4th overall win at Augusta.

Final day brought several nail-biting moments such as at one point we had 5 players sharing the lead before Phil Mikelson shot aheadd by one and then two for a 2 shot lead at 6 under for the tornament as at the 12th hole and 6 to play.
Tiger woods was trying to play catch up after a beautiful second shot to the green leaving him a six ft putt for an eagle and a two stroke gain on the leaders but he was to drop the eagle and walk off with a birdy making the chase all that more pressured. Fred Couples had a strong day but missed several crucial putts which could've seen him take the lead comfortably and taken his second green jacket.
