Maks Update June 26th 2006
As you may have seen on a previous blog that maks had the flu, well while she did get better, a few weeks back I noticed that she had unfortunately and to my dismay picked up a coldsore from her daycare centre. This only got worse and she got several mouth olcers that upset her intensely and only to add to this she was diagnosed with possibly asthma which deeply hurt me to hear. But the doctor said to me that its something that she may potentially grow out of with any luck.
She's a true trooper tho but did fight to take her medicine but once she gets that taste for it she calms down and takes it in her stride.
We had a terrible scare a week ago when I came home during my lunch break and noticed that she had a rash localised to her right hand wrist that gave me some concern so I had my mom pop down to the doctors again to get them checked out. I received a call half an hour later from mom saying that they were taking her to startship hospital in an ambulance. Ambulance and Hospital are two things a parent doesn't want to hear in regards to their child. I was on another sales call at the time and almost couldn't finish the call but once clear I emailed Donne and we headed straight up to the hospital a little distraught but strong in will for our daughter. When we met up with mom at the hospital she was absolutely exhausted and wasn't keen to take any fluids which only made us worry more but the doctors assured us she was ok and just to make sure she gets fluids.
We returned home to my place to further watch over her and get her some fluids and much rest.
All n all she's much on the road to recovery getting back to her usual self slowly but surely.
