Fiji Vacation Day 1

So much has already happend this year since my last update which at some point in the near future I hope to catch up on.

Prelude to a vacation: Over worked and contantly tired I decided that it was high time I looked to take my first proper vacation, a vacation in the sense that the object here is to have a complete and utter blow out. Change up the scenery and pace of the usual daily/weekly/monthly routine and just get away from everything that is standard in my life.

I phoned Jess at flight centre advising her that I had for her an important client that just happend to be me. She ran a few idea's and I pretty much jumped at the first one she threw in front of me, hence the reason that I'm sitting and typing this blog from the hostle i'm staying at in Fiji.

After relaxing in the morning playing my guitar which I decided not to bring with me I was picked up by my sibling whom dropped me at the airport and I pretty much checked straight through to bugger around on the otherside.
The flight was uninteresting with great views over auckland city as we departed often pearing out the window checking the weather. I've kept a watchful eye on the weather over the week preceeding my departure as it hasn't been very good. As we ducked under the clouds it was apparent that rain had very much set in however as I looked over the scenery and layout of the land I knew this is exactly what I was after, its a complete and utter change of scenery and pace. So on exiting the plane and I took a moment to myself and an imediate thought rolled over, 'Mike your in Fiji chillout and relax' so at the point I figured now amount of rain is going to spoil my fun.

I was in no rush to exit the plane at first but then my bladder had other ideas but apon exiting and passing through customs after a humours sight of two german girls trying to pack their luggage on their trolley for having all their items fall off time and time again kept the amusement while we stood in line.
I arrived at the hostle after going through some of the village's of Nadi and became more engrossed in their lifestyle here and it forever confirms that I'm not in Auckland anymore. Due to the recent rainfall which doesn't bother me in the slightest it has become slightly humid but after putting my first drink down at the bar (approx 5 mins after check-in) i care even less. The population here seem to a high percentile of brits, you dont have to look you can just here their accents. So I sit here and update my blog very quickly before I head back to the bar...Will update again tomorrow, if i'm not too shattered.
