2006 Round the bays

I've never done it, I've never seen it but that will be all put behind me come March 20th 2006 as on March 19th 2006 i shall be doing the Round the Bays fun run.
My fitness level is far from the ability to run the entire length of the course but I feel compelled to try it at least once in my life.
Sunday week ago I was doing my weekly shopping as was standing at the checkout counter at The Mad Butcher's in Pt Chev when it occured to me, Join their team, do the fun run, get a T-shirt and get out of the house for the day.
This week I picked up the sign up sheet and got another for my Mate Simon too as I've roped him in to it also.
Looking forward too it

Call me ishael....

Two of the best starting phrases of very well known books and I'm left sitting in front of a screen with no plot, blank characters and absolutely no time period or attitude to apply to a story. The excitment of a blank page leaves much to the imaginative mind.... keep an eye on this space for updates.

Bill Clinton is in town

Arriving in the early hours of the morning after flying in from Australia, Former US President Bill Clinton is in New Zealand for his 3rd visit. I haven't seen him this time around but I did see him from a distance on his first visit in 99 for the APEC conference as he was staying at the Stamford hotel which is pretty much just across/down the road from my apartment. But on his second trip I got much much closer when he was visiting a local retail clothing store and it was more-or-less down to meters. He is I believe travelling around speaking at particular functions events where prominent business leaders are paying $2400.00 for a seat to hear the southern accent.
Personally that's alittle above my pocket, but the opportunity cost is I spend that time with my daughter feeding her dinner, going for a walk and now just having put her to bed, well more like 1/2 an hour ago.
As friday nights viewing is less than eventful it was broken with Donne, Leighann, Lauren and Mandy dropping by as they are spending the night doing a scramble treasure hunt for an Auckland radio station, we were able to help a little but the rest is up too them.

Resolutions Update

Well we are on track for health and fitness, handicap is on the way too. So its time to start thinking about the others. Thinking at this stage as still need to concerntrate of the above still, very much so. Fitness level is coming along very well where I'm currently running about 3-5k's a few times a week and for some one who used to break a sweat running from my living room to the kitchen (5mtrs) I'm not doing too badly.
While I plan to keep up the fitness and golf targets I plan to spend my evenings working on writing a book. Whether I plan to publish it is not on the cards to this point but just more to the point of accomplishing something different.
And i feel that I could very well do so as I'm sitting here watching Alfie, starring Jude Law and I'm about to slit my wrists its so incrediably boring.
Oh well, moving right along...
Time to watch Black adder

Maks Update Feb 22nd 2006

Tonight we met Matthew or Maddy, a 19-20 month old son of Debbie and gary. Debbie and I grew up as kids together with debs being a year older than I. Both our mothers used to work together years ago in a bank long before we came into the world. Debbie now resides in Melbourne wih her Husband Gary whom hails from the UK.
They have a darling son who sports a cheeky little laugh and shiny blonde hair like his mom. Makayla and maddy had fun meeting each other and playing with a balloon together. Unfortunately danika has been rather ill lately so i've kept the two apart to save Princess falling the same fate. Poor little Danika has been very sick but is well on the road to recovery now seeming alittle more towards her usual talkative and energetic self.
Makayla took a while to get to sleep tonight which is unusual for her, probably from all the excitement of meeting Maddy :-) But she's off with the fairies now, so best go check she hasn't kicked off her blankets, Nite everyone

Maks Update Feb 17th 2006

As if witnesing a morning sunrise on a beautiful clear day feeling the warm sun caress your face is how I feel when I see my daughter as she smiles up at me with her six teeth. Makes you laugh as you look into her big eyes and it warms your heart to see your child happy and healthy. She's hungry now so its time for lunch of mashed carrots, brocolli and other vegetables I may have in the fridge and maybe so grapes for dessert. Then I think it'll be time for her afternoon nap before I'm guessing, her cousin comes for a visit and wants the two to play. It's fun watching the two chase each other, give each other hugs and danika now two wanting to feed makayla her dinner and bottle. Those two are going to be pretty close growing up and we love seeing the two laugh and rush around my apartment. And Now with a childhood friend visitng from Melbourne in town for a wedding we'll get the chance to meet her baby, and husband in towe.

Hamilton V8 circuit

The Hamilton hosted V8 race course is in the Frankton area, The race will start next to the waikato stadium on Mill Street, Will then proceed to the first corner almost immediately turning right into Tristram Street where Ford’s dirty driving tactics will be to bottle next the Holdens. Powering out of the corner Tristram is a nice long straight for the pack to begin to disperse before breaking just after the transport centre and two quick right hand turns to reach Seddon Road a moderate straight before a hard left into King Street for a good long straight following into a mid to long right hand bend into High street. The route then is a quick series of two rights and a single left turn down into Hall street which run’s into Pitt lane and Mill street

Back on track

Still working on building up my fitness levels, going my my new saying "...a healthy body means a health mind which equals a lower handicap..."

Anyway, the main news. Well it seems as though Hamilton has sealed the deal to host the supercar V8's over I think an 8 year deal. Well I have to admit that its better than having to travel to wellington to hear that sweet sweet roar of Holdens victory. Forget those nasty F.O.R.D'S which we all know stands for "Fucked On Race Day" or "Found On Rubbish Dump" which ever way you wish to look at it.

Long time awaiting

Due to a heavy work schedule, exercising, looking after makayla and working on my golf its left me with little pportunity to update this website. But here I am again at long last.

A quick update

Today is Valentines day, but seeing as though I'm single it doesn't hold much interest for me however the day is still special as Makayla is 10 months old today.
She's sleeping now but has grown so much and is free-standing now so we expect she'll but up and walking any time soon.

Played golf last saturday at takapuna where I shot 17 over and at Howick golf club the sunday before where I shot 18 over. Getting better as to my new goal is to be officially under a hanicap of 15 but June and under 10 come years end.

my niece danika had her 2 year birthday party on feb 11th

that's about it
